Poema oferecido por uma aluna ao Swami
and because we are not angry
and because we do not cry
and because we do not suffer
and never, ever lie
and because we are in love
and because we always smile
and because we are so free
and never ever hide
when you say for us to find ourselves
we are no where to find
and you ask "who are you?"
and we answer "who am I?"
and we cannot find the words
for all this gratefulness inside
and we are selfish
and we don't know
and we run around
and we blame
and we ask
and we take
and we give, oh, so few
and we're young
and afraid
and sometimes..oh.. so blind
and we fall and we get up
and we rest and we try
and we laugh and we yell
and you're always so patient, so kind
and all those things we never do
and those ways we say not to feel
all those covers and lies and excuses
and things we pretend to be
all the masks, all the fears, all the illusions
all the traps, all the sadness and numb ways of life
may they all fall here
may they all fall now
may they all reveal us to our hearts
may me not be I
may we just..be.
may pure, true love be revealed
so that our mouths know what they speak
may our dear guide be blessed
with all the beauty,
all that is kindness
all the harmony
all the strength
all the smiles
may we cry when we have to
may we fall if we must
may we be strong enough to learn from it
to grow, to mature, to trust
may we not be afraid of not being wise
when wise words are said to us
and we just don't understand
we just don't know why
may we be greatful for God's patient
and use it to learn how to be that kind.
may we be patient but never lazy
may we rest but never give up
may we always know we can, even when we're to blind
may we surrender, may we stay
may we always get up and if we fail
may we try... and try, and try
may no audience be needed in anything we do
may no guilt be found inside of lovers hearts
may we know that love is not ours, it's a blessing, not a right
may we not trap it inside someone's body, someones gestures, someones mind.
may we learn and grow and make it all worth while
may we always, always find a way, to show gratefulness to our guide.
